Chapter 660 - 314 Red-Eye_3
Maya analyzed the track map with a calm mindset but couldn’t find any pattern at all. Some routes had closely spaced stations, while others had many speed restrictions. No matter how she tried to switch tracks, it was hard to find a route with few stations and speed restrictions. This made Maya quite irritable; she held the paper in her hand and bit her pen with furrowed brows.
Qinglang couldn’t bear to watch and said from the side, "Maya, relax. We’re playing the game, not letting the game play us."
Maya stood up and looked ahead, "I don’t like the feeling of losing control and leaving the future to fate."
A player train whistled past on the opposite track to the left, two hundred meters away from the train, the Spider Train was in hot pursuit. The players on the train gathered at the rear, in groups of three; two would load the repeater guns while one would shoot. Their concentrated firepower kept the Spider Train from getting close.
Maya watched them zip by then craned her neck to watch them a bit longer, "There are more surviving trains than I expected." It was now one in the afternoon, four hours into the chase, and out of the 42 trains, 30 were still standing. What was even more impressive was that, within the previous hour, there had been no news of any trains being eliminated, aside from the Pearl.
There were still many capable people who had found their rhythm, as well as ways to deal with the Spider Train. Seated in the passenger carriage, Lin Wu continued Maya’s thought, "That’s because they haven’t encountered the Red-eyed Train."
They had barely exchanged a few words when another player train appeared, coming in the opposite direction on the left rail. The three of them were stunned; were the players on these two trains planning to round up the Spider Train? Of course not, and if the second train was moving too fast, it could lead to some incidents.
The inconsequential incident, however, gave Lin Wu an idea. He complained, "Why can the Spider Train fight back while I’m chasing it from behind?"
Little White Rabbit answered, "You’re not chasing the Spider Train."
