Why did Nightmare know so much about Shadow? For one thing, her temporary base was nearby, and for another, her base was an ally of Doomsday Fortress. The reason was that Starlight had found Little Knife a temporary residence for two days because of a conflict between Little Knife and Cotton.

Little Knife was from Sawmill, and Cotton was from Doomsday Fortress. They hadn’t had enough time to blend in. Little Knife was boisterous while Cotton was usually quiet and reserved. One day during a meal, Little Knife carelessly commented that the pork was burnt today. Cotton retorted that if Little Knife wasn’t satisfied, she could cook it herself. Little Knife was so upset by this comment she almost cried. Although Stone immediately stepped in, the atmosphere was incredibly tense throughout the meal. Afterwards, the leaders discussed and decided to send Little Knife to help Nightmare for a couple of days.

Lin Wu said, "I know Little Knife, she was purely complaining about the pork, not the chef. Cotton meant no attack with her remark; she was just bluntly saying you could cook your own portion."

Nightmare was impatient, "Call Maya!" What are you explaining to me for?

"Tch!" What an attitude. Lin Wu grabbed the walkie-talkie, "Maya, do you copy?"

Maya, "I’m here."

Lin Wu, "Some dumbass wants to see you."

Maya was stunned for a moment; there weren’t many people Lin Wu would straight up call a dumbass. After a while, Maya asked, "Is it Nightmare?"

Lin Wu was shocked and goggled at Nightmare with schadenfreude. Nightmare covered her face, wanting to cry but having no tears. She didn’t understand, why? Why would Maya associate her with a dumbass?

Lin Wu was still kind-hearted enough to comfort her, "Where flowers bloom, there will always be those who cherish them." Ha ha! If you don’t stay, gent; you and your lot better scram.
