Chapter 541 - 269: Fortress Merchant_3
Maya did not answer the question; she couldn’t explain too much to Lin Wu about this matter. When creating Dawn, humanity had already considered the consequences of an unchecked AI. Designers trusted rules over moral constraints and didn’t believe that AI would always operate according to rules.
On the surface, Dawn trains the Guard Army, and the Guard Army protects Dawn. But in reality, Dawn demands that the Guard Army prioritize enforcing programs that restrict Dawn over obeying Dawn’s commands. If Dawn did not make this request, the Guard Army must destroy Dawn, a rule that is a priority conveyed by Dawn to the Guard Army itself.
Maya had no interest in explaining the peculiar relationship between the Guard Army and Dawn to Lin Wu, and luckily, Lin Wu wasn’t interested in debating Dawn with the Guard Army either.
After Maya finished, she stood by and supervised Lin Wu washing clothes, nodding, "Not bad." Then she went to hang the clothes out to dry.
"Wait." Lin Wu said, "I don’t have the strength attribute, so I can’t wring the clothes."
Maya took over the clothes and wrung them out: "I don’t have the Agility attribute, so I can’t go to the third floor."
It was just a casual remark, but Lin Wu took her bucket of clothes and walked away: "Consider it tuition."
Maya watched Lin Wu reach the clothesline and reminded him through the headset. "Spread them out, hang them on the rack, and then use the clips on the rope to secure them on both sides of the rack to prevent the clothes from being blown away by the wind. Add another clip at the point where the hook and the rope meet."
