Lin Wu: "Now."

Maya stood up, aimed and fired the rocket launcher. The rocket propelled a trail of blue smoke and struck the engine of the first vehicle. It didn’t flip over and shatter into pieces as Lin Wu had expected; instead, the blast tore a large hole in the front of the vehicle, scattering countless fragments of parts all around.

Soldiers from all three vehicles jumped out simultaneously. Maya immediately retreated, drawing the soldiers from the first vehicle in pursuit. Nightmare, positioned on the flank, stood and fired repeatedly, bringing down one soldier. A soldier on the bridge hit Nightmare. She quickly crouched behind cover and wrapped herself with a bandage.

Real injuries, whether bleeding can be stopped or not depends on the type of damage the bullet causes.

Fighting with NPCs simulating real humans, Lin Wu realized the difficulty of making headshots; almost no NPC would keep their head still for more than a second. After missing the first shot, Lin Wu’s second shot hit a soldier in the chest. The soldier, wearing a bulletproof vest, was knocked down but not injured. Lin Wu promptly switched to Forest Wolf.

Five soldiers at the head of the bridge advanced towards the western parking lot behind cover, while more than a dozen soldiers on the bridge relied on the guardrail to exchange fire with Peanut and others from 50 meters away. For a time, gunfire roared, and bullets flew in all directions.

Neither Lin Wu nor his companions had ever experienced such a scene, feeling both fear and excitement. The fear came from not knowing if a bullet would hit them the next second; the excitement was that it was almost indistinguishable from a real battle.

Maya struggled to suppress the firepower from the bridge and heard a soldier yell, "Sniper at 10 o’clock."

A soldier ran towards a truck and pulled a rocket launcher from the back of it.

Maya shouted, "Lin Wu, get away from your post immediately."
