Maya didn’t agree immediately. The electric towers were about 200 meters apart, with the rope being 50-60 meters long. Lin Wu had to make 4 to 5 stops at each tower, pulling himself across step by step. The good news was that after creating the aerial corridor, Su Shi had made a safety rope that was recognized by the system as usable. This reduced Lin Wu’s workload, but it was still not easy.

It was unknown how long a round trip would take. With only two backpacks between them, they could only carry essentials and no extra items, even if they saw something valuable—they were solely focused on obtaining the serum.

Having solved the problem of traveling to and from the destination, they still had to gamble on scavenging for food and finding a suitable base. The difficulties mentioned above were just operational. The real difficulty was injury. Fractures were manageable, only affecting physical function, but bleeding without the ability to self-heal would leave them in a desperate situation, close to death. Efforts like pulling the rope or climbing required stamina, which bandages couldn’t effectively stop, making it difficult to buy time. Estimating that a one-way trip would take more than an hour, they certainly couldn’t take all the bandages with them, could they?

According to Maya’s experience, there shouldn’t be any Titans inside the office buildings. However, people had been getting hurt repeatedly during the last few days of work, including Lin Wu. This gave her more concerns. Having concerns meant she was tempted. To be tempted without acting would surely leave regrets.

Maya said, "Taking 24 hemostatic bandages, we can gamble once."
