Kingdom of Corrosion

The open-plan office had two doors connecting to the corridor, with over a dozen zombies entering from the front and rear entrances and gathering near the fish tank. The fish tank was merely 5 meters away from the office’s main door.

Sentry Shana reported, "Quite a few zombies have gone up to the second floor by the stairs next to the main entrance." There was an outdoor staircase beside the storage area that led directly to the second-floor hallway.

In a low voice, Maya asked, "How many?"

"What?" It was too quiet, and she didn’t hear clearly. But Shana guessed what Maya was asking, "More than 20, with at least 1 Frenzy and 2 Screamers."

Lin Wu, who was observing through the gap in the door, wore a headset and heard Shana’s message, so he gestured with his hands. From the balcony, Maya had a clear view, "Not that many."

Shana: "There are."

Maya gestured toward the hallway to indicate that the number of zombies in the corridor had increased, they simply hadn’t entered the office yet. She warned Lin Wu to be careful.

At this moment, the zombies that had entered the open-plan office had lost their target, but they didn’t leave. Instead, they scattered and went about their own business. Some roamed around the open-plan office, and a few made their way to the hallway. Others approached the windows, turning their heads to look outside, while some of the lazier zombies stayed near the fish tank. Some even went so far as to lie down, crawling under the desks, seemingly intending to take a nap.
