Lin Wu let go of the shotgun, which automatically hung over his shoulder, drew the Beretta pistol from the holster with his right hand, and fired continuously, killing the zombies that attempted to attack the female player from behind. This rare act of heroism by Lin Wu might have been spurred by the atmosphere on-site or the nature of the mission; whatever the reason, tonight all the players were grasshoppers on the same skewer.

The life of Wall 4 dropped by 15%, with dozens of zombies pushing and pounding at its base. Lin Wu picked up the shotgun and with a single blast, a streak of blood splattered, and seven zombies fell instantly. As he walked and fired, Lin Wu cleaned out all the zombies that were a threat to Wall 4. But when he turned around, a large group of zombies charged up again.

At that moment, a player handed over a design he had found to the sapper, who activated a Summoning Skill, and an automated machine gun turret rose outside Wall 15, rotating and attacking any zombies that came close. It also became the zombies’ primary target, even those that were attacking Wall 15 turned back to assault the turret.

"Protect the turret."

"What turret?"

The scene was incredibly chaotic, and those players intent on protecting the turret couldn’t even make it downstairs; they could only watch as the zombies destroyed the turret – the whole process took just about 10 seconds.

"Airdrop."

Lin Wu had only used half of his shotgun ammunition when the second wave of 30 airdrops arrived on cue. With this wave came the Exploding Carnage, which, despite being mixed among the regular zombies, were not slow.

"Out of ammo."
