Little White Rabbit descended, visible only to the parties involved, and Lin Wu quietly explained that he had been verbally attacked by the other party. Little White Rabbit appeared in front of the Nightmare and informed him that, due to his use of foul language to insult others, he would face a one-hour confinement punishment. However, the Nightmare could choose any one-hour period within the next 24 hours to enter the confinement instance.
Although the punishment wasn’t severe, the Nightmare jolted in shock upon seeing Little White Rabbit and while getting up, Lin Wu blew his head off with a shot. This time, without his forehead guard, the Nightmare took a bullet to the head, and he finally figured out Lin Wu’s position. The Nightmare had high combat awareness, rolling to the other side of the rock, then breaking into a run.
The Nightmare’s thought process was simple: as long as he was far enough away, he wouldn’t fear death. He would run with all his might, burn through his stamina, and then see if Lin Wu was still in pursuit. If Lin Wu followed, he’d simply kill himself; if Lin Wu didn’t follow, then he would make his escape. Sadly, before he could burn through all his stamina, without looking back, he stepped on a Beast Trap buried in the snow.
Before dying, the Nightmare finally looked back and saw Lin Wu’s face clearly, the sunglasses still dangling an unremoved price tag.
How had he arrived so quickly?
The Nightmare hadn’t completely fallen yet when, in the last moment, he saw Lin Wu’s guilty hand pressing on his chest.
After looting the Nightmare, Lin Wu wasn’t particularly happy. The Nightmare was more cunning than expected; he carried some medicine, but not much, some bullets, but not many. Lin Wu walked away with an assault rifle, a pistol, twenty bullets, and a computer. The computer, being an exclusive item, couldn’t be used by others after dropping; it had to be either returned to the Nightmare or destroyed.
