Chapter 127 - 105: Battle to the Death
The meeting began, and Stone announced that in order to develop the base and to advance into Left County in the future, it was decided to establish a branch base near Left County. After some discussion about the division of labor between the main base and the branch base, Stone got to the point, "Maya and Lin Wu will head to the supermarket near the hydroelectric station to set up the branch base, with Maya still being in charge of the day shift. If anyone has opinions or questions about this arrangement, feel free to raise them."
Maya added, "Currently, we have a surplus of food, and our stocks of gasoline, medical supplies, and building materials are high, while the supply of ammunition is quite scarce. According to the North Town System Map and communicating with other farm players, the Wilderness Farm can still support players scavenging for about ten more days. Considering the work location and reasons for stockpiling supplies, that’s why the branch base is being established."
Little Knife asked, "Can I come and visit you guys?"
Maya answered, "Of course you can." She looked towards the Soulless brothers and Su Shi.
Su Shi simply said, "Let me know what you need."
The Soulless brothers had no objections; their lives were unchanged.
Stone concluded the first topic, then asked Su Shi to bring out the wheel, "Thirty arrows, 24-hour use of the Repeating Crossbow, whoever it lands on, gets it. Participants include Snow Egg, Horse Soul, Shana, and Little Knife. If anyone has objections to this method of distribution, speak up."
Shana suggested, "Choose one out of three, the user on the first day will be excluded from the wheel the next day."
The other three nodded in agreement.
After discussion, it was finally decided for Maya to spin the wheel, and Horse Soul was selected as the first user of the Repeating Crossbow.
The meeting ended, and Stone entrusted Lin Wu and Maya to pick up Nightmare by eight o’clock that night, recalling only then that he had this task, so he had to cancel plans with Little Knife. They had planned to go play with Blood Zombies in the tunnel that evening.
Lin Wu and Maya packed up, and everyone escorted the two to the road intersection. The two left the Shadow base, got on their motorcycles, and waved goodbye to everyone. Passing through Sentry Card was simpler for these two; Lin Wu distracted the zombies, hopped on the motorcycle, and zoomed through. The motorcycles were simple; cars couldn’t get up to speed at Sentry Card, and were easily swarmed by zombies. This group of zombies were particularly tough, a real pain to deal with.
