Chapter 77 - 76: Meeting Danger
On the way to Highland Villa, Lin Wu completely ignored the Frenzies by the roadside. After getting out of the car, Shana took on the primary responsibility of clearing the road. The two climbed over the fence and entered Highland Villa, and the preoccupied Lin Wu actually fell carelessly. Shana reached out to pull Lin Wu up, "Are you alright?"
Lin Wu responded dispiritedly while taking out the lock picking tools to open the garage door, "If I said I’m fine, would you believe it?" He couldn’t be bothered with a zombie near the garage, luckily Shana’s Crossbow Arrow took care of the crisis.
Shana knew Lin Wu was not in the mood to play games today and considered Highland Villa to be just in easy mode, so she took him out to get some air.
There was a scrapped pickup truck in the garage, the engine was nowhere to be found, leaving only an empty shell. There were many things inside the garage, but after searching around, Shana didn’t find any valuables. She notified Lin Wu, who was on guard at the entrance, and they went down to the treehouse in the backyard.
Shana glanced at Lin Wu and it was clear that someone had no intention of moving today, so she let Lin Wu stay on guard while she snuck into the treehouse. She rummaged through the place, finding a small handgun and more than ten bullets.
"Let’s head back now."
"Mhm," Lin Wu nodded.
As they climbed over the fence, Shana started the motorcycle, never expecting that three meters away, behind a tree, a Screeching Zombie was hidden. Before Lin Wu and Shana could act, the Screeching Zombie let out a howl. Shana was about to call for Lin Wu to get on the bike when a zombie from the side lunged and grabbed onto Shana, pulling her off the motorcycle.
Shana pushed the zombie away, while Lin Wu killed the Screeching Zombie. Lin Wu said, "To the right."
