In the end, the majority of the lunch was vengefully devoured by the girl.
Anvis merely maintained a gentlemanly demeanor, having a little bit of the meal with the girl, and incidentally finishing off the lunch she had originally prepared for himself.
"Um... thank you for the lunch, Anvis..."
It wasn’t until lunch ended that the Half-Elf girl realized this, her ears turning a bit rosy as she quietly expressed her gratitude, prompting Anvis to think of reaching out to touch them.
"Please don’t concern yourself with it, it was just a lunch, nothing much-"
Upon hearing Claire’s words, Anvis smiled and casually waved his hand.
"Besides, Senior Claire, didn’t you also show me those two cryptic stone tablets, as well as the decryption notes corresponding to the ancient script on them?"
As he spoke, Anvis subtly shifted the topic.
"For that, I should be the one thanking you. Given our current time and location, the value of that information to me is far beyond mere comparison with a lunch meal."
