Fairy Tail: I Don't Want to Be the Guild Master

Chapter 378: September, I hope Rhodes is okay

Makarov led the entire guild in a frantic escape, without a shred of loyalty.

As the last remaining shred of conscience in Fairy Tail, Rhodes decided to stay behind and see how things would play out.

Mira stayed too. Rhodes suspected she might have done it just to see how this disaster unfolded for fun. No, no, surely not. Mira was kind at heart. Definitely.

Strangely, the audience didn't seem alarmed by Fairy Tail's mass exodus. Perhaps they assumed it was part of the performance. In fact, they followed suit with noisy cheers and applause, fleeing the theater as if it were scripted, fully immersed in the "drama."

It was as if watching the entire stage crumble after a ferocious battle was just another interactive moment for the extras. The crowd seemed thrilled, even more engaged as they made their "dramatic escape."

In the end, all that was left of the once-grand theater was a pile of smoldering rubble. And standing atop the wreckage, in the spotlight that no longer existed, were the survivors: Natsu and Gray, knocked flat on the ground; Erza standing tall as she took a proud bow; and Lucy, who tugged her cloak tighter around herself as she offered a hesitant, reluctant bow.

At that moment, Erza truly believed she had delivered a powerful and meaningful performance. Lucy, on the other hand, was still wondering whether this had been a success or an absolute catastrophe.

Mira approached, clapping with a bright smile. "Congratulations! That was a resounding success!"

"Thank you," Erza replied solemnly, accepting the praise with all the grace of a professional actor. "Though I still have much to improve, I appreciate your support."

Lucy blinked. "Wait... this counts as a success?"

"Of course it does," Mira said with certainty. "Everyone left with big smiles."
