By the time the morning cleanup wrapped up, the guild had filled with its usual chaotic energy.
The weather had finally warmed up, and with summer just a month away, the whole guild seemed to have shed its winter sluggishness. Everyone was livelier than usual.
Even Natsu, who had been MIA for what felt like forever, suddenly strutted through the front doors.
"Ahahahaha!"
He walked like a man who'd just gotten promoted by the fire gods themselves, grinning so wide you could almost see the flames flickering in his throat.
Rhodes had also been in a great mood lately, but at least he wasn't radiating "main character energy" quite this hard.
"Natsu? Feels like it's been forever." Macao scratched his head. "We thought you wandered off and joined a volcano cult again."
If it weren't for Happy dropping by the guild every now and then, most would've assumed Natsu had taken a job on another continent.
"I was training!" Natsu bellowed.
Then he caught sight of Gray and zipped over, slamming his hands on the table. "Gray! I did it—I ate the fire!"
"Huh?" Gray blinked. "Don't you... eat fire every day?"
