Chapter 247: Take over: Beast King Soul
An average wizard would've stood no chance against the siblings, Mal and Vina.
But Zancrow was anything but average.
His blade of black fire sliced through the air. Mal's spear snapped in half. Vina's shield and sword were blown clean from her hands.
"Aagh!" Both were blasted backward, their clothes catching fire, their skin singed by the searing heat.
Elfman darted behind them, catching their fall. He pressed them down and leapt forward, intercepting Zancrow just as the madman came charging in.
His beast arm surged with power, catching Zancrow's flaming fist mid-swing. Smoke hissed from his palm as the fire began to burn through it.
Elfman winced but refused to back down. Gritting his teeth, he locked his grip tighter.
"Manly!"
With a roar, Elfman hurled Zancrow backward, sending him flying through the trees.
He'd hoped to buy enough time for the siblings to escape, but it was wishful thinking.
Zancrow flipped in midair, kicked off a tree trunk, and rocketed back toward them like a fireball.
