Fairy Tail: I Don't Want to Be the Guild Master

Chapter 194: I’ll give you something

The great advantage of the Voidgrub's ability to spawn Voidmites was that it didn't drain Rhode's magic power at all.

All the Voidmites' movements after hatching relied on their own energy. They would fight until they were either defeated or completely exhausted before disappearing.

As for how long each Voidmite could last, Rhode noticed they had already gnawed down three towering stone pillars without even looking tired.

It was just a pity that, for now, he couldn't think of any real way to put this ability to good use. He couldn't exactly release a swarm to tear down the guild just because he was bored.

As for using swarm tactics... he wasn't at war, and neither was the Kingdom of Fiore.

In short, he would have to slowly explore the potential of this ability over time. At the very least, it was nice to have more disposable helpers in case he encountered rogue wild monsters in the future.

Facing the Master's stern request, Rhode immediately promised that he would never cause any trouble inside the guild. He really didn't have any interest in tearing the place down.

Makarov nodded, satisfied. When it came to self-control, Rhode was reliable.

So far, the worst damage he had caused was just creating a hole in the backyard wall. Compared to some of the other guild members, Rhode was practically a model citizen.

...

Time passed as Rhode continued working, training, and living his usual steady life. Before he knew it, it was already the day before he was supposed to accompany Master Makarov to the regular guild meeting.
