Chapter 2: Fairy Tail
After clearing the dishes, Mirajane left the room. A few minutes later, she returned with someone else.
It was a man with a rather unusual physique.
His body was as round as a giant ball, yet his limbs were oddly thin. Even stranger, his face wasn't fat at all, creating a bizarre sense of imbalance.
Rhodes couldn't help but be suspicious. From all the detective shows he had watched, he had a sudden, ridiculous thought—was this guy even real?
"This is Reedus," Mirajane introduced, enunciating each syllable carefully. "Ree-dus Jo-nah."
Rhodes repeated it after her, and Reedus greeted him in return.
By this point, Rhodes had noticed something odd. Every single person he had met since waking up had a strikingly unique appearance. Their features and styles were so distinct that it was impossible to forget them.
Reedus, noticing Rhodes' confusion, suddenly pulled out a paintbrush and sketchpad.
Then, to Rhodes' complete shock, he started drawing—on his own round belly.
The first sketch was of Rhodes, followed by a smaller figure of the old man from earlier.
And then, the drawings suddenly sprang to life.
