Chapter 449: Exponential Doubling of Demons
After my group defeated the two primal demons, we made our way to the 83rd floor, and my suspicions about the increase in enemy numbers seemed to be correct.
There were four massive primal demons wandering around the level, which only took us a few more minutes to defeat. Even if their power level and size were the same, their numbers were still manageable.
Once we were finished, we moved to the 84th level, where we had to fight eight primal demons, and they were so large that the durable buildings in God City were inevitably getting demolished during our encounter.
The number of primal demons kept doubling for every floor we completed, and by the time we were done killing thirty-two primal demons on the 86th level, we decided to take a small break and recuperate our MP.
"Do you think the next floor will have sixty-four demons? Seems excessive, considering their size..." Melina commented, chugging an MP potion.
"If the same pattern of doubling their numbers keeps going, then we would be fighting 256 primal demons on floor 89..." I replied after doing the math, and the number sounded quite intimidating.
Our team wasn’t having a problem taking down the primal demons, but that didn’t mean that they were not powerful. Honestly, we were pretty overpowered compared to the other groups in G’Henna’s castle.
Still, fighting over 250 primal demons wouldn’t be nearly as simple. If any other team had encountered these levels before us, they would have gotten wiped out.
After replenishing our MP and eating lunch, we continued to the 87th floor and were shocked when we realized that our suspicions were correct. There were sixty-four primal demons wandering around God City.
