My Wife and I Became Sages in Another World

Chapter 418: Departure

ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com On the same day that we reunited with Phelena, we received a message on one of the voice crystals from Durinhold, the Dwarven Kingdom.

In the message, one of the dwarven engineers who had been staying inside the world titan spoke excitedly about its awakening, and it took me a few seconds to grasp what he was saying.

Melina and I gathered all the core pieces for the world titan to work, but I honestly never expected the massive robot to come to life.

The dwarven engineers were learning how to control the machine, and they asked for three days to prepare, which worked for us since we were waiting for the other nations’ armies to get closer to us.

There were large ships with thousands of soldiers from every single nation we had ever visited, and they were all traveling to the shores of the Northern Empire, the Sephyr Kingdom, and Kyotora.

Since those three countries were the closest to the devil’s continent, they believed it would be better for our forces to advance from there and surround the massive island.

I didn’t know much about war tactics, but I did gather some experience during the war in the Beast Kingdom of Kalusia. I mean—this war was different as it was much larger, and it also took place in the sea while the war in Kalusia took place in the scorching desert. The tactics wouldn’t be a 1:1 comparison, but I assumed they could work just as well.

While we waited for the dwarves to study the titan and for the soldiers to get to their respective positions, Melina and I kept fixing up the capital in the north.

After we were done with the castle’s repairs, we decided to build a small hut in the city for Melina and me... and our familiars, of course. The new emperor, Thorgest, insisted that we could stay in the castle for as long as we wanted, but we politely declined as we just wanted a bit more privacy.
