Chapter 390: Grul’s Struggle
After infiltrating the Steel Castle with the help of our invisibility potions, we entered through a strangely spotless bedroom, which seemed like nobody used it but was still kept clean.
Thankfully, there weren’t many guards inside the castle, so we were able to rush through the hallways without caring too much about the noise we made.
When we got closer to the throne room, we heard voices coming from inside, making us slow down to listen attentively.
"So, it already started..." said the voice of an unknown man.
"That’s right. We will have no opposition in the entire continent after this battle," Baelzor replied.
While we kept hearing the conversation, we entered the room, still invisible, and we noticed that Baelzor was talking to a man sitting on the throne.
’That must be the emperor...’ I thought, detailing his features and noting that he resembled his brother a little, whom Jackson had saved a few days prior.
"Good—What will you do about the sages?" the emperor asked, wholly indifferent to the fact his city was getting attacked.
"Don’t worry about them. We have our methods..." said Baelzor, getting interrupted by someone coughing beside a tall pillar on the side of the throne room.
