Chapter 380: The Ice Dragon’s Trial
Early in the morning, Melina woke up sleeping next to Athena and Apollo, whom she had used during the night as a pillow.
The princess ended up raising a small shack for everyone to sleep in with a fire enchantment to keep it warm, and they were happy to see that the day was totally clear, with barely any clouds in the sky.
Relishing the opportunity, the group quickly mounted Arashi’s back after having a quick breakfast and began their search.
It took them a few hours, and Melina was starting to feel like they had scouted the entire frozen waste from how fast they were going until Arashi abruptly stopped mid-air.
"What’s wrong?" Melina asked her companion.
"There..." the dragon replied, focusing her vision on a tilted tower in the distance, which was barely visible as there was snow and ice covering half of it.
It was the only structure that the group had seen in the area, and even if the dragon weren’t there, Melina would have thought it was worth checking out either way.
Still, even though Arashi kept flying towards it, the tower didn’t seem to get any closer.
After ten minutes of flying straight, Melina told Arashi to stop, as she felt like they hadn’t even moved from their last position.
"Is this an illusion?" the princess pondered aloud.
Wanting to test her theory, she opened up her void pocket and pulled out the potions that Ichiro had created to nullify the effects of the illusions.
