Chapter 372: Grul and Dan
After cleansing the brainwashing spell from all the victims at The Pit and killing the imps that were possessing them, I went to the ninth floor to speak with Grul, the only imp who showed no signs of bloodlust.
Dan, the kid he possessed, was also present, as I wanted to ask him how he knew the imp and why he wanted to protect him.
When I got there, Dan was sitting on the floor, eating a hot plate of food, while the imp sat next to him with a nervous expression.
"Alright, let’s talk for a bit..." I said, sitting in front of the two, who raised their gaze slightly apprehensive.
"Listen, Grul. As long as you cooperate with us, I promise that nobody will hurt you." I continued, trying to calm down the trembling imp, who seemingly thought we were still going to execute him.
The imp didn’t respond but nodded, acknowledging that he understood what I was saying.
"Start from the beginning. How do you guys know each other?" I asked.
Grul explained that Baelzor was considered the "Imp Emperor" since he used to be a common one like him but evolved after being chosen by the Demon King, Xalathas.
Once the Demon King sent all his generals to this world, Baelzor used his powers to summon thousands of imps from the demon realm to help his cause.
