Chapter 358: A Dragon’s Flight Speed
When we made our way out of Black Ice Pinnacle, Fuego was kind enough to lower all of the walls in the labyrinth, making it a single path that we needed to follow to get out of the cave.
Vespera made me a little pouch to carry the egg, which had an enchantment to keep it warm inside.
I couldn’t just stow away the egg inside my void pocket. Since everything stored inside was frozen in time, the egg would halt its process of hatching if I put it in there.
Our next stop was reuniting with Rio and Lampart, the two members of the Dawn’s Defenders (DD) who were sent to the north along with half of the other members.
They were the ones who sent me a message saying that they needed backup soon, or I would have traveled to Vista with Melina. However, they were taking a long time to send me their exact location, so I started getting worried.
While we got out of the cave, I sent them a couple more voice messages asking them for directions until we reached the outside.
Fuego and my companions must have noticed my stress and said that we should start making our way to the southwest, which was the last location that Rio mentioned to us.
"We can’t be too hasty. What if one of those eyes sees us?" I said to my group, who seemed eager to fly away into the distance.
Still, just as I finished speaking, my voice crystal lit up with a message, and I quickly grabbed it to listen to it.
