Chapter 350: Baelzor’s Eyes
After my group and I walked for a few hours, we managed to get to a small hill that divided the forest from a field covered in a thick layer of snow that reached my knees.
The only reason we weren’t flying was because the warriors told me that the devil had creatures that went around scouting different areas.
At first, I thought they were talking about lesser demons, but they described these monsters as large, floating eyeballs.
Apparently, everything those eyes spotted was also seen by the devil, so if we started flying carelessly, we ran the risk of telling Baelzor of our presence here.
We had the option of using an invisibility potion, but since we could only use them once every twenty-four hours, I thought it was wiser to save them in case of an emergency.
Once we reached the snowy field, we could see the mountains in the north, but we still had quite a long way to go.
"What if we fly really high? Could those eyes see us?" I asked the warriors.
However, since they couldn’t fly, they didn’t know the range of the creature’s visions and couldn’t give me an answer.
"I mean, if we keep this pace, we’ll reach the mountain in two days... maybe even more," I said, trying to come up with a quicker method.
