Chapter 256: Drakzen’s Loss
During our fight with Drakzen, we all suddenly felt an incredibly powerful presence coming from the area where my companions were fighting Salamandra.
Somehow, it made me and Drakzen worried, which was strange since he was a devil and always acted calmly and sarcastically. Still, he looked clearly distressed by the mysterious presence.
When we both flew up, we saw a blue beam of light coming from the sky, followed by fire explosions that were lighting up the entire forest.
The power that we felt was so overwhelming that it made us stop fighting for a moment, almost as if we were taking a break.
"Seems I need to check something out..." Drakzen said.
Realizing that he was about to leave, I quickly rushed and used my bo to attack his face, which, of course, he blocked with his forearm.
"And why would I let you leave so easily?" I asked.
"Heh, how annoying..." Drakzen replied.
"You are one to talk!" I said, feeling frustrated that the most annoying person in the world called me that.
"You are distracted..." Melina muttered as she appeared behind Drakzen, using her estoc to slice an "x" on his back.
The devil turned and used his blood magic to create a slicing arc, but Melina had already left his blind spot and avoided his counterattack.
