Chapter 252: Nessa’s Determination
Drakzen and I exchanged blows against each other. Imbuing my bo with fire and lightning magic to attack him, he kept using his forearm to block my offensive.
I did notice that Drakzen had some sort of metal plating protecting his arms, which I thought was an armor he was wearing underneath the robe. However, the more I fought him, the more I realized that it was his actual skin.
At one point, he used demonic energy to push me back and started sprinting away from me. Of course, I didn’t let him do as he pleased and followed him closely using lightning magic.
Not realizing where he was taking me, a fiery explosion suddenly appeared in front of me, making me react quickly and cover myself with a water barrier. Still, it burned my arm a little.
"Ichiro!" Vespera exclaimed.
Drakzen ran all the way to the location where my team was fighting Salamandra and almost caught me with a surprise attack.
Standing beside my group, facing Salamandra and Drakzen, I noticed something very important.
’Where the hell is Melina?’ I pondered.
I couldn’t sense her anywhere nearby, so I didn’t know if she was hiding or if she just left the area.
"Heh, so you completely turned on us, Nexa. Or, is it ’Nessa’ now?" Drakzen said out loud with a sarcastic tone.
Nessa was visibly shaken simply by Drakzen’s presence and took a cautious step back without saying a word.
