Chapter 190: Dune Worm
After our dinner was interrupted by an earthquake in the middle of the desert, we quickly left our little base to check and took flight so the earth’s rumbling wouldn’t affect us too much.
With only the moons illuminating the dune field, we spotted a massive worm coming our way, unburrowing from the ground and going right back in it as if the earth was liquid to the monster.
It was absolutely massive, and every time its head left the ground, a shrieking sound came out of its mouth that reverberated in our brains, making us cover our ears tightly.
At one point, the worm burrowed and stayed underground for a minute.
"Under us!" I exclaimed, seeing that my search spell was showing the monster right under us.
Suddenly, the worm appeared right under our little base and ate it whole as it launched itself high up into the air, trying to get one of us. Still, everyone in the group propelled themselves away to safety using wind magic.
