Chapter 169: Small Town of Meisi
As I kept engrossed in reading Alejandro’s journal, I kept finding out about interesting stuff that I had no idea about.
For example, he said that if you traveled to the end of the jungle, which was plagued with monsters, there was an area with trees that were called "Arcana trees," and he said they were the sturdiest wood in the world.
My bo had become almost unusable after my fight with Zagor since the magic output that I fused into it was too much for it to take, so I was pretty interested in those "Arcana trees" as I would need a new weapon.
On another page, he talked about a devil that appeared years after he had founded Kalusia and explained that he encountered the monster at the savannah.
Alejandro described the devil as an extremely powerful and evil entity that wanted to bring chaos to the world, and after fighting him for an entire day, he cast a spell that brought down a comet from the sky.
The meteor was enough to kill and vaporize the devil, leaving behind a crater that would later be known as the Starstone mine for the people of Kalusia.
It was quite surreal to read this, as I knew that this wasn’t common knowledge for the people in this country.
The fact that the meteor crashed in the savannah and left all those resources for the beastkins was no mere coincidence, but it was quite literally a spell that Alejandro used to kill the devil of that time.
My companions were helping with the reconstruction of the library while I kept reading, getting to a section of the book where he talked about his experience learning magic.
