Chapter 155: The Final Reinforcements
After I met the king of Kalusia at the factory, I told him about the Terra Titan and the phoenix, showing the four hearts we had acquired and the pouch with Acalan’s ashes.
Dente, the king, looked sad for a moment as he stared at the trinkets but reassured me that they could still be saved if we reached the altar inside the castle.
He explained that Acalan and the Terra Titan stayed behind when Zagor attacked their capital, allowing the royal family to escape as they were going to be executed by the devil.
From the little information he received, he said that the phoenix had been threatened into working for Zagor in exchange for the lives of the beastkin while the Terra Titan was ordered to be split.
The split of the titan wasn’t something that the Kalusia Kingdom took lightly since it meant ripping the emotions and personality away from the Terra Titan in order to turn him into different mindless monsters.
As Dente kept explaining to me the nuisances of the Legendary Beasts’ decisions, he clenched his fists with anger and frustration, which was understandable.
Still, he hoped we could bring them back to their normal forms once we obtained the other two hearts and recaptured the capital, although that was easier said than done.
Now that we had the king of Kalusia with us, we had a huge meeting with all of the squad leaders to strategize our next move toward the capital.
Dente ordered all of the beastkin soldiers on our side to fight in the frontlines with the empire’s army, who would be taking the front of the city walls.
