Chapter 147: The Siege of Startown
After the reinforcements from the Sephyr Kingdom arrived at Kalusia, we kept our campaign going as the army of the Droman Empire and Aridonia occupied the towns and settlements that we took over.
It took us a whole month to reach the savannah, and I was feeling happy to leave the rocky area behind. However, one of our most meaningful battles would take place here since we were getting closer to the town where the starstone mine was located.
Gina told me that it was appropriately called Startown and was bigger than any of the settlements we had seen. She even compared it to the size of Speranza, which was larger than End Town.
It was the place where one of their most important resources came from, after all, so it made sense that it would be a nice town. Still, that only made us more nervous as we didn’t know what to expect.
The small towns we had encountered so far were quite clearly left behind so that their strongest units could protect their most important resources.
One of the beastkin soldiers we saved from the curse had information on the Terra Titan and told us that he had been split into six different pieces, meaning that there were still four that we had to take care of.
He also told us that there was a factory for black pearls in the savannah and at the capital, so we marked that location as one of our targets as well.
We had found plenty of black pearls during the month that we were occupying the small settlements closer to the desert and had turned most of them into golden pearls, as I kept periodically sending crates full of them to Melina.
Nonetheless, we weren’t sure if those would be enough to cure all of the demons in Startown.
