Chapter 142: Inside Enemy Territory
After taking down the Terra Titan before it could wipe out the empress’ army, we searched around the perimeter but found nobody nearby.
Part of the colossus’s body ended up destroying a small part of the wall when it crumbled, which would have been a good opening for the army to enter the borders, but since there was no one guarding the gates, we simply opened them up for the soldiers to pass.
"Gina, what do we do with this?" I asked the battle-maid as I showed her the titan’s heart, which was quite large and heavy.
She explained that there was a chapel in the capital dedicated to Garon where they could put the heart into a socket and bring the titan back to life, meaning that we would have to keep the massive red orb with us for some time.
I put it in my void pocket for safekeeping and went to talk to the empress, who was inspecting the site of the debris from the titan.
"Now we know why they moved their forces to the north..." Lysandra commented.
We were the first part of the army that reached Kalusia’s borders, so the empress thought of an idea to help the other two groups finalize their push.
The group on the south of the desert was being led by the prince of the empire and was getting close to the border. However, their side of the wall would most likely be protected by soldiers.
The north was being led by the sultan of Aridonia and his commanders, but they were fighting against a larger enemy force that was keeping them from pushing them out of the desert.
