Chapter 133: Vespera’s Genius but Radical Cure
As I kept talking with the three beastkin soldiers who were awake, I was trying to come up with a solution to their curse.
They couldn’t be healed since Zagor would find out immediately that the curse was broken.
At first, I thought that this wouldn’t be a problem, but when I thought about it, all these soldiers probably had families and loved ones that were being threatened.
In other words, even if they escaped and healed their curse, their loved ones in Kalusia would pay the price for it.
Vespera was there with me, and she began inspecting the three men closely for a few minutes.
While she did her own research, I sent a voice message to Melina, which, once again, was in the middle of the night.
’I need to stop contacting people this late...’ I thought before sending the voice message.
In it, I asked Melina to check on Reinar, who was researching the black pearl. Not that I didn’t trust him with it, but I knew that he would overwork himself until he found the solution to its powers.
Besides, Melina was more knowledgeable than Reinar when it came to raw magic experience, while Reinar had the upper hand on alchemy.
Nonetheless, the research on the black pearls fell into those two categories, so I thought that if she gave it a look, it would be helpful and speed up Reinar’s work.
"Ichiro..." said Vespera after I sent the message, beckoning me to go to her position next to the beastkins.
