Chapter 75: The Devil, Armaros
After I was done checking Garret’s memories, he fell unconscious, so we took him to the barracks without any resident seeing us.
Commander Valentina imprisoned Garret in a high-security cell underground, still wearing the restraining jacket that Vespera had made, and tied him up with chains to a chair.
It may have seemed a bit too excessive, but Garret’s body was too strong to allow him to roam free in a cell.
As the possessed commander slept in his cell, I told Valentina what I had seen without getting into details about how I managed to see his memories.
In his memory, the devil called himself Armaros, which initially sounded familiar to me. Trying my best to recall where I had heard the name before, I remembered that the Goblin King mentioned it during our fight.
Back then, I didn’t pay much attention to what the monster said since I thought he was just spewing trash, but now I was starting to wonder how long Armaros had been trying to mess with us.
Vespera told us that every devil had their own unique ability that differentiated them from the rest. However, I couldn’t see any information regarding his ability when I checked Garret’s memories.
"Armaros took advantage of Garret’s doubts about his own strength. That was enough to allow the devil to possess him." I explained to the group.
My worries lay mainly with the other knights. They probably felt similar to their commander in terms of strength.
The people they constantly bullied into believing they were weak were on a completely different level than them, and if it weren’t for those knights that I trained, some of them would have perished in the fight against the Kraken.
Valentina issued an order to all of the knights, telling them that nobody was allowed to leave the premises of the barracks.
