Chapter 63: Vespera’s Magical Ponchos
While drinking tea with the king and queen, we talked about all of our experiences for the past year.
They have heard most of the stories from the letters that Melina sent constantly, but they still wanted to listen to us tell them.
The 3rd princess, Alexandra, seemed the most excited whenever we talked about hunting monsters and showed her interest in being like her sister when she grew up.
She was only ten years old, but she was already training her magic with a tutor, and the mage said that she had great potential.
Melina patted her sister on the head and said that she would train her when she turned 14, which made me believe that I was probably going to have to help with that. Not that I had a problem with it, though.
Later, the king told us to show him our new adventurers cards and looked surprised that we were given the Gold rank as soon as we registered.
We told him what happened at the guild and how Lucia didn’t want to give us a lower rank, to which he agreed with her, saying that if we had shown so much power, it was only natural to provide us with a high rank.
When we told him that we were thinking of going to Port Town Blue first, his expression turned more serious.
Apparently, that area of the kingdom had been getting an infestation of monsters for the past month, and had to deploy two knight orders to go deal with the problem.
Additionally, the villagers had seen an S-ranked monster close to the city’s pier, so merchants and fishermen avoided the zone.
Port Town Blue was the main port town of the kingdom, where most of the goods from other countries across the ocean arrived.
