"I don’t want it, Eros. Am I being too selfish?" Azura asked, stomping her foot like a kid in front of her family as they sat around the dining table.
They were discussing how Sebastian wanted Elliana to return to him. For that, he had already proposed a marriage between them—a real marriage with her real identity and people from all the species involved.
"Mom, why are you acting like I am going somewhere? We are witches, for heaven’s sake. You can just click your fingers and talk to me whenever we want," Elliana said.
Azura looked at her daughter helplessly. Though what Elliana was saying was true, too, it was different. Staying under the same roof and teleporting repeatedly to talk to her were two different things.
Azura looked at Eros, who didn’t say anything. He wanted their daughter, who had just gained her memories a couple of days ago, to stay with them, but at the same time, he knew her heart was with Sebastian. And why not? "Mom, I want to," Elliana held her mother’s hand, squeezing it softly to let her know what her heart wanted.
When Azura saw the genuine yearning on her daughter’s face, she couldn’t help but smile.
"I know, baby. Sooner or later, you will leave us either way. I apologize for acting that way, but my mother’s heart..." She sighed before looking at Nathaniel.
"Fine. We agree to the marriage proposal, and that evil, cunning, manipulative man can take my daughter away," Azura said.
"Mom," Elliana looked at her mom helplessly, who sighed again.
