"Are you angry with me?" Sebastian asked Elliana, making the girl pout and shake her head.
"Thank you. Because I don’t think I will be able to live with your anger. Let’s not waste our time on these useless emotions and focus on loving each other, okay?" Sebastian cupped her cheeks, looking into Elliana’s eyes, making her lips quiver.
"I am sad. You are suffering so much because of -"
"Ssshh," Sebastian placed his finger on her lips to stop her from completing her sentence.
"Don’t complete that sentence. I am not suffering because of you, baby. Don’t you know? I am a selfish man, my Cara. I am just trying to protect myself from going haywire and keep my sanity. Do you know where my sanity stays?" Sebastian placed his forehead on hers before smiling.
"Where?" Elliana asked when he didn’t say anything.
"Here. This is what holds my entire world and existence," Sebastian sighed and placed his index finger on Elliana’s chest, indicating her heart.
"My bo*bs?" Elliana asked, and a chuckle left Sebastian’s mouth before he shook his head and pecked her lips.
"Probably," Sebastian smiled, his eyes brimming with tears when he saw her trying to make him smile along with herself.
"I love you so much, Cara. It hurts. I know it’s not supposed to be like this, but my heart feels like it will burst from this overflow of emotions. If there is a word bigger than love, if there is an emotion bigger than that, I don’t know how to express it," Sebastian pulled her close, leaving no space between them as if he wanted to mold them into one.
"I love you too, Mr. Marino," Elliana whispered before rising on her tiptoes and crossing her hands around his neck.
