Chapter 529: Doing things the right way
Lucas walked to the group where everyone had formed a circle, his brows furrowed.
"What are you guys doing here? Is this the time to slack off when we have a mission at hand?" Lucas asked, his voice serious, and everyone immediately stood alert.
"We are sorry, Secretary Lucas. It’s just, that Garry here said...pfft," Harry started laughing again, making Garry look at his brother with a glare.
"What happened?" Lucas asked Garry.
"Well, let me tell you about it. We all decided that since our King would go to sleep with his wife, one of us should take turns guarding their door. And well, the rooms of the hospital aren’t exactly soundproof. So he heard some unfiltered voices and -"
"And is that funny to you? Aren’t you ashamed of talking about your King and future queen like that?" Lucas’s gaze turned even darker.
Everyone’s expression immediately sombered, and they bowed their heads.
"We are sorry,"
"Who told you to secure their guard either? One can eat the entire vampire army, the other one can burst everyone with a click of her fingers. Do you think they need their protection? Let them be.
You should be happy that the princess hasn’t left or I hope I don’t have to remind you what happens when our King loses his control. Luckily the princess is here to keep him busy," Lucas glared at the other members of their team.
"Next time I hear something like this, I will pour hot lead into that person’s ears and turn them deaf. Do you hear me?!" Lucas raised his voice at the same time Sebastian walked out of the hospital room towards the corridor.
