Chapter 486: For her, I would lay down my life
Meanwhile, in the Creta regions, Nathaniel who was watching his sister crying in pain, grabbed another paper of the ancient book with a neutral look on his face.
Though he was trying to keep a cool facade, anyone who truly knew him could tell how angry he was because he wasn’t able to help his sister who was writhing in pain.
He didn’t know what exactly happened. Nathaniel had been busy finding spells that would ensure Elliana didn’t lose her life even after the siren took her powers back.
Thus, thinking she was only having a mental breakdown because she was to tell the truth to Sebastian the next day, he didn’t react or go there to calm her down.
This was something no one would be able to help her with.
It broke his heart to see her crying, and as much as he sympathized with her, he also knew that unraveling this truth was far more important.
With a sigh, he looked at the pen on the other table and raised his hand towards it, making the pen appear in his hand before he started jotting down all the changes of eye color he had observed in Elliana so far for research purposes so he could find a reliable spell for her.
"Damn it!" He heard Azura’s cussing before the witch appeared in front of him, and he raised his brows at her.
"I suppose the meeting with your daughter didn’t go as expected?" Nathaniel asked, roaming his hand on the screen in front of him and changing the scene to the mountains that were under his jurisdiction so that Azura wouldn’t find out about Elliana’s crying or the witch would go and cause a mess there.
Azura turned to him with a wrong expression.
"Don’t remind me about it. When I reached there, I had all the plans to save Elliana’s powers from going haywire, become the heroine in my daughter’s eyes, and mend things between us," Azura paused.
