Chapter 477: A song from bottom of heart
"Elliana, honestly, you still haven’t stated a clear reason why you are leaving. Is there nothing we can do to help?" Samantha asked, a sad expression on her face as they sat around a round table in the VIP rooms of one of the famous restaurants.
Elliana dabbed her lips softly before raising her gaze.
"I am afraid nothing can be done. All the matters are discussed by my guardian and -" She started speaking, but Melony interrupted her from speaking further.
"But aren’t you already eighteen? You literally have the right to deny his orders. If it’s about staying, you are always welcome to stay at my place," Melony said, and Elliana looked into the girl’s eyes.
She had yet to ask this so-called friend of hers how the hell she managed to get her hands on such vile drinks for witches, and who asked her to give that drink to her.
However, it wasn’t the right time. She wasn’t ready to hear any more truth about anything that would break her heart than it already was. She didn’t want to ruin this image of friendship right before leaving.
"It’s not about that. I don’t think I am in any position to deny it. Anyway, let’s not talk about that. We are here to celebrate the end of our exams. I would prefer carrying some good memories rather than sad tears," Elliana smiled cheerfully, and Alcinder who hadn’t said anything since she came kept looking at her before he averted his gaze to the plate and took a bite of his dish.
It tasted stale. He didn’t like it. Maybe because he wasn’t really in the mood to eat anything.
He raised his gaze back to Elliana, caught off guard, when his gaze met directly with hers, and she looked at him with a quirked brow.
"Don’t tell me you will miss my taunting," Elliana wriggled her brows, making the man look away.
He didn’t deny it.
