Chapter 408: The Arc of twisted games
"Are you satisfied with my work?" The witch walked to the center of the room on the 28th floor of Hue Paradise hotel where a man was standing near the window with his back towards her.
"Satisfied is an understatement of what I am feeling. It’s been quite a long time since I saw him so helpless. It’s like he knows what is happening around him, but doesn’t know what or who is doing this," the man said, his gaze fixated on Prince Sebastian through the binoculars that he had specially brought to this hotel for this purpose only.
This hotel was around 5 kilometers away from the seashore, but because nothing close to its height was between the seashore and this hotel, it was easy for him to see what was happening on the seashore and how helpless this prince was.
"How did you do it? The spell, what is it?" The man asked, looking at the witch whose face was hidden with her hooded cloak in the reflection of the window.
"I can ask you the same question with a different meaning. Why did you do that? I thought you were one of the good guys," The witch said as she lit her herbal cigar.
She sat on the boss chair with her left leg crossed over her right, her body leaned back as she looked at the man in front of her with a smirk of her own.
"Good guy, I am definitely that. In front of everyone, I surely am. But don’t you think, there is a limit to everything?" The man said with a smirk.
"Now it’s your turn," the man continued after his vague answer.
She wasn’t a clueless witch. She knew what he was doing. He was trying to get some answers from her to get to know her better. However, what he did not know was that she had been playing this game for so long that no one could beat her in it.
"Do you really need to know that? We made a deal. I will help you trouble Prince Sebastian, and you will help me with whatever I will need in the future when the time is right," The witch looked at him with her own manipulated answer.
"Still, what did you really do? I would like to get a gist of it. You don’t need to reveal the spell if it worries you. I am merely intrigued. Not many witches can do something like this for sure," the man said, and the witch closed her eyes.
