"Are you nervous?" Sebastian asked Elliana as they sat in the car, and the latter gave him a soft smile that barely reached her eyes.
"Of course, not," she whispered before looking out of the window again.
Sebastian didn’t say anything further and sat in silence, looking at the latest news about what other vampire Dukes and Kingdoms were doing.
It has been three days since the annual ball and he finally got the time to take the Princess to her home.
As much as he hated this place, he knew it was important because his grandpa would want that too and because he needed information on Gambit.
Sebastian’s nose flared lightly when he saw all the humans as soon as they entered the human kingdom, the memories of his mother dying in front of him flashing in front of his eyes. He closed his eyes for a few seconds before opening them again.
His hands clenched on his phone.
Lucas, who was sitting in the front seat with Ambrose driving the car, looked at his prince through the rearview mirror and felt bad for him.
He knew all those memories must be coming back to him and haunting him like a never-ending trauma that he had been living for so many years.
