Chapter 353: Love hurts, or was it fate?
Elliana sat on the bed with her face in her hands, her body shaking terribly as she tried to control her emotions that were going haywire just at the thought of Mr. Marino walking to that party with another woman.
She knew she wasn’t supposed to feel or react so loudly, but for some reason, she wasn’t able to control her thoughts and overthinking. Her hands shivered, and she clenched them around the bedsheets to stop the trembling sensations.
Even her powers felt sorrowful for their human counterpart.
No woman would accept a thing like this whether it was for the throne or something else, especially when that woman was as devoted as Elliana. When that woman was as living and caring as Elliana, who never cared about her life or health for him.
She hiccuped loudly, wiping her tears furiously as she felt angry at herself for crying over something that wasn’t in her control.
’Stop crying, Elliana. Stop overthinking. No one is going to come and coax you. That was the ugly reality of the royal families,’ She told herself negative things to keep herself from thinking things that weren’t even true.
However, when it didn’t work, she switched to positivity.
He wasn’t like this. Elliana knew in her heart that her Mr. Marino must be compelled or someone must’ve forced him.
The man she knew would never intentionally hurt her. He even promised his loyalty to her till this relationship lasted. She tried to pacify herself, but the revolting questions came back to her mind like boomerangs.
Can someone really force him to do anything? Of course, not. Then why was he doing this?
Why was he acting like this? Like all of this her fault?
