"What were you guys talking about?" Sebastian asked, holding Elliana’s hand and pulling her close, making her hit his chest as he wrapped his hand around her waist possessively.
She immediately blushed, biting the inside of her cheeks to stop the heat creeping up her neck as her mind went back to how she had woken up today.
"Nothing. I just came out to stroll and found her lying on the ground, watching birds. She said she fell," Stephano said, hiding their conversation, and Elliana didn’t know if she should be more wary of him or just feel relaxed that he didn’t bring that up.
"Let’s go. We are leaving for our home," Sebastian looked at the princess and before Elliana could take another step, he bent and picked her up, bridal style, making her raise her brows.
"I can walk, Mr. Marino," She whispered to him, and he smirked.
"I never doubted that, Princess," he held her close, walking out of the forest and towards the palace where everyone was waiting for them, knowing all too well the couple was leaving now.
"Grandma," Sebastian nodded at Aubrey and others.
"Put me down, I have to show my respect to them too," Elliana hissed at Sebastian, who looked down at his wife before humming.
"They know you respect them. It’s enough," he said, his gaze focused on his grandfather, who gritted his teeth at his grandson.
"He is leaving, Abramo. He is taking the girl with him," Aubrey scowled, and Abramo sighed.
"Well, they will have to leave to go to their home, don’t they?" Abramo asked, and Aubrey scowled.
