Chapter 234: Got caught or not?
Elliana climbed the pipes skillfully as if she was a pro at this, and Alcinder looked at her in awe as he was standing at some distance to ensure he would be able to hold her if she fell, but the way she jumped and climbed it like a monkey, it almost looked like this was her daily job.
Once she was up and entered one of the corridors through the window, Alcinder took a deep breath and hid behind one of the big walls to hide and be ready if Elliana got into some kind of problem.
Wait.
Alcinder narrowed his brows.
He had decided that he wouldn’t let her go to that risky place and would go in her place, right? How the hell did things turn out to be like this? He was so focused on how skillfully Elliana was doing everything that he forgot the part where he had decided that she shouldn’t be doing this.
What the hell was wrong with him?! How can he be so distracted with everything? She was a human who had entered the enemy’s den to save a girl. And what the hell was he doing? He was standing here, waiting for her to return after completing her mission as if he were some kind of obedient wife of hers. Alcinder gritted his teeth. He felt useless as the more he thought about it, the angrier he became at himself.
Alcinder turned around, contemplating if he should go towards the front of the building and do something to help Elliana or wait for her in case something happened.
Meanwhile, Elliana, who entered the corridor, hid behind the wall, her demeanour changing completely as she clenched her hand around the dagger and took off its cover, ready to attack just everyone who would come in her way.
She took a deep breath and started walking towards the interior of the corridors. Though it was a small building, there were still 4-5 rooms on each floor.
She was on the third floor. There were a total of five in this building. She was sure they wouldn’t keep the girl on the first or the top floor. Thus, these three were the ones with the highest rate of the girl being here.
As she was passing by one of the rooms, she saw two people in uniform walking towards her, and she gulped, trying her best to keep her heartbeat calm.
