Chapter 197: A half done magic
Elliana lay on the rooftop bench facing the sky as she looked at the clear sky.
It was serene and beautiful. It was peaceful. There was no doubt about it. But she didn’t like it. Why was the sky peaceful when her heart was such a mess?
She wanted to make it rage just like her heart. Everything was taking a toll on her. These confused signals Mr. Marino was giving her, the projects she wants to work on, and let’s not start on how her search for her mother was long forgotten.
"Nathaniel," she whispered, wanting to talk to her friend.
Nathaniel, who heard her voice crystal clear in his office looked at the globe and clicked on it to see what she was doing.
Seeing her lying on the bench lazily, he rolled his eyes before clicking on the globe again to remove the scene.
He went back to reading his book, and Prakrith, who was sitting right in front of him, looked at him with raised brows.
"She is calling you. Are you not going?" She asked, and Nathaniel hummed in denial.
"Well, I thought you loved her or something. Why are you leaving such a good opportunity? Didn’t you say you want to make some space for yourself in her heart? Are you going to do that by not answering her calls?" Prakrith asked, and Nathaniel rolled his eyes at her words.
"I want to have some space in her heart, in fact, I want to have all the space in her heart, but for that, I am not going to give in to her demands all the time," Nathaniel murmured.
"Demands?" Prakrith asked, confused.
