"Who are you? And what the hell are you doing here? How did you get in? Guards! Guar -me," Madeline’s eyes widened when he placed his hand over her mouth.
"Sshh, aren’t you being a bit too loud? At least not about myself, think about yourself. You will hurt your throat like this. I will answer all your questions, but first, let’s settle on one thing. You won’t scream," The guy said, and Madeline looked at him shocked.
"Mmmh!" She patted his hand furiously.
"Oops, I forgot. How would you speak with my hand over your mouth, no? So? You won’t scream anymore, right? Look, I am not here to hurt you. If I wanted to do it, I would’ve done it long ago. If I can come here, I can kill you as easily and drink your sweet blood -" The guy paused and looked into Madeline’s eyes.
"You must’ve figured out that I am a vampire, right?" The guy asked, his gaze a bit psychotic.
"What do you want from me? What have I done to you? Isn’t the peace pact already going on? Why are you attacking me like this?" Madeline asked one after the other, and the guy just looked at the panicked girl in front of him with a smile.
"I am here because of you,"
"For me?"
"Yes. For you. I have seen how that human council head’s son treats you. It’s truly pathetic. I just couldn’t bear to see how a beautiful girl like you is running behind a ba*tard like him who doesn’t deserve it at all," The guy smiled, and Madeline, who was startled earlier, started gaining her control slowly.
