"Sir, do you want me to inform the council head you are here?" The guard asked as soon as Aditya walked to the main meeting room, and he paused.
"No. I was just passing by," he turned before spotting the head maid of the council chambers.
"Head maid, you are responsible for all the old things in the personal cabins, right? Where is my stuff kept?"
"Sir, everything is kept in the old attic room. Do you want me to retrieve something for you?" The head maid bowed in respect.
"No. I will retrieve it myself," Aditya walked to the attic room that the head maid talked about.
He looked around at all the files and shuffled them to find his stuff. It wasn’t long before his gaze fell on the small chest that was neatly placed over all his school files and reports he submitted to prove himself worthy of being in the council.
Aditya pulled out a random cloth from the corner and wiped the chest before looking at its lock. He took out the keys from his pocket and opened the lock.
He looked at the opened door and walked to it before closing it and leaning on it. It would be better if no one saw him like this and didn’t find out about the secret that he had been hiding for a couple of years.
