Chapter 79: Aqualith
"It gives motion to the water... makes it move, turning it into water slime?" Adyr tried to piece together the Spark’s connection to motion when a system message finally appeared before him.
[Name] Aqualith
[Path] Ignis
[Rank] 2
[Ability] Liquid Spawn / Hydropulse Core
Description: Aqualiths, one of the ancestors of the giant beasts, typically feed on high-motion waters such as rivers and streams. Their massive bodies and short limbs can be misleading, but they are surprisingly fast and fond of travel, though only when well-fed. Once they find a viable source, they often remain there for months or even years, staying until the waters are completely drained.
Ability—Liquid Spawn / Hydropulse Core: These Sparks are fond of comfort and particularly dislike being disturbed while feeding. To maintain a relaxed environment, they use Liquid Spawn on the waters they consume, imbuing them with motion and summoning soldier-class slimes known for their high defense and resistance to physical attacks.
Additionally, they constantly store the active motion of the water they feed on within their bodies. This stored kinetic energy is released in sudden bursts, allowing them to reach high speeds almost instantly—a trait powered by their Hydropulse Core.
"So this makes sense now." Reading the description, Adyr finally understood. A creature of that size, moving at such high speed, would be difficult to handle.
