Chapter 205 -205-The Frustrated Fake God
As expected, the moment Kalthor was resurrected, his attitude toward Daniel took a sharp 180-degree turn.
But Daniel’s expression didn’t change at all. He simply posed a calm question.
"Can you tell me why your kind seeks to destroy this world?"
Daniel’s reasoning was simple—he wanted to uncover the truth behind the arrival of the Millennium Apocalypse. So far, Kalthor was the only Apocalypse-class entity he had encountered who could actually speak and communicate. Naturally, Daniel wasn’t about to let this rare opportunity slip away.
Kalthor, however, looked momentarily puzzled by the question. After a brief pause, he responded slowly.
"You don’t understand. The reason we were born... is to destroy this world. That is our inherent purpose—our divine mission."
"Destruction and New Life often go hand in hand. Our existence is not a mistake; it is part of the natural order."
Upon hearing this, Daniel came to a grim realization.
When it came to the Millennium Apocalypse, there was never any hope for negotiation. Whether humans or the other races, none of them could reason with these entities. Their very nature was built around annihilation—just like the Artists who had gone mad. Those beings lived entirely within their own twisted logic. Reason, compromise, or coexistence—none of that applied.
Suddenly, a strange clicking noise echoed in Kalthor’s mind. It sounded like the ticking of a clock.
He instinctively released his mind power to scan the surroundings.
