Chapter 84 -84-Millennial Apocalypse
After a thorough explanation from the Human Emperor, Daniel finally understood the truth behind it all.
It turned out that the massive Snowdragon Beast before him was not capable of true flight at all! Rather than soaring through the skies with wings, it moved by rapidly shifting through space, achieving a velocity that mimicked high-speed flight. However, this spatial traversal was not unlimited. The Snowdragon Beast could only make short-distance teleportations, and to maintain its overall pace, it continuously blinked in and out of space like a phantom, making it appear astonishingly fast.
Because it was traveling through space rather than the physical atmosphere, air resistance simply didn’t exist for it. This unique advantage meant that the miniature tavern mounted on its back—an architectural oddity by itself—was perfectly secure and unaffected by turbulence.
Upon hearing this, Daniel could only marvel at the strangeness of the world. "The world really is full of wonders," he muttered with a half-laugh.
"Want a drink?" the Human Emperor asked, swirling a goblet in his hand with practiced elegance. "This wine can’t be found anywhere else."
...
The Northern Border of the Human Realm—
After a long and grueling journey that spanned over a dozen hours, Daniel and the Human Emperor finally arrived at their destination.
The trip had not been silent, however. Along the way, the two of them had engaged in many long conversations, delving into the mysteries and truths of the world they lived in. Though Daniel had been raised in the Royal Academy and had received a solid education, there were still many gaps in his understanding. Now, with a rare opportunity at hand, he made sure to ask as much as he could, soaking up knowledge like a sponge.
This dialogue with the Human Emperor filled many of the voids in his worldview. After all, the man beside him wasn’t just any powerful figure—he was a living legend, the one who knew more about this world than perhaps anyone else alive.
And during their talk, Daniel learned one of the world’s most tightly kept secrets—something not even the Academy books dared to mention.
