Chapter 45 - 44: Grade 2 Magic Beasts; Wind Wolves!
The Armored Alligator had been about 60 meters away when Drake had immersed himself under the water. It slowly crept up on Drake from the side. Thanks to its camouflage ability, he had failed to notice it all this time.
It had waited patiently for Drake to let his guard down, and the instant he relaxed it lunged.
Drake hastily threw a palm strike in the direction of the Alligator that had already launched itself at him, while activating the full power of his gravity powers repulsion force.
The pressure from two powerful forces closing in on each other caused the water to explode. Drake instantly shot out like a cannon ball. He had made sure to remain very close to the shore so that he could retreat the instant he noticed the first Alligator coming at him in a moments notice.
With this Armored Alligator attacking from the side however, he could not directly retreat backwards; instead he was pushed to the right. He hastily slapped the surface of the lake and let the force from the impact launch him out of the lake.
Drake was thrown onto land and rolled for a few meters, he did not even wait till he stopped and just rolled to his feet. With that, he ran as fast as he could.
’I have to get away from here as fast as possible. I can’t even fight against one Armored Alligator, but now I have to go up against two? That’s suicide!’ He thought.
Without looking back he rushed towards the forest. His right arm hurt badly, it had been broken when he threw that attack at the Armored Alligator.
"Fuck, it was only a single attack and my arm is broken? Doesn’t that mean that if I had not run so quickly it would need no more than three attacks to kill me?"

Sure enough just as he took off, the giant Armored Alligator burst out from the lake with an enraged roar. In all it’s life it had almost never missed a kill whenever it chose anything to be its prey. In this way it had hunted killed and eaten all kinds of magical beasts over the years, whether small or big none had ever escaped. Even just yesterday it had eaten a Grade 2 magical beast wolf
